The Governance of Shared Knowledge — Designing Policies That Turn Information Into Collective Capacity

The State Of Democracy - 0 seconds
Knowledge has become a strategic resource for economic development, institutional effectiveness, social resilience, and human progress. Yet its availability does not automatically translate into collective benefit. Research can remain disconnected from public decision-making, technical expertise can be inaccessible to the communities affected by policy, and valuable experience can remain fragmented across institutions and professional sectors. The central policy challenge is therefore not simply to produce more information, but to create the conditions under which knowledge can circulate, be understood, critically evaluated, and applied responsibly.
